Abahani Limited earned a comprehensive 123 runs victory over Ansar and VDP team in the Dhaka Premier Division Women's Cricket Super League on the BKSP ground-4 in Savar Sunday, reports UNB.
Favoured by coin, Abahnai Limited decided to bat first and piled up a comfortable 230 runs for 4 in 50 overs.
Opener Sharmin Sultana hammered a polished 93 runs off 134 balls featuring 12 boundaries and was adjudged player of the match.
Two down Mihiri Madushani scored a 50-ball 58 runs including eight boundaries, one down Shaila Sharmin made 70-ball 34 runs with five fours while Sharmin Akhter scored 18-ball 16 runs including two boundaries.
Ansar captain Shohaly Akhter grabbed two wickets for 23 runs while Mahmuda Khan and Anu Akhter took one wicket apiece.
In reply, Asnar and VDP team were bundled out for 107 runs in 48.3 overs.
Captain Shohaly Akhter (17), Suraiya Jannati Tinni (16), Anu Akhter (12) and Ayesha Akhter (12) were the main contributors for Ansar reaching the double figure.
Shaila Sharmin claimed three wickets for 14 runs while Suborna Islam, Harshani Maduwanthi and Jahanara Alam took two wickets each conceding 16, 20 and 22 runs respectively.
