Abahani top league table beating Prime Bank by 33 runs

Dhaka Abahani Ltd top the table leapfrogging Prime Bank Cricket Club by virtue of better run rate after beating the league leaders by 33 runs in an 11th round curtailed-over match at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah Monday, reports UNB.

After the completion of the 11th round, Abahani finished top of the league table securing 18 points with nine wins and two losses to storm into the Super Six while Prime Bank Cricket Club slipped to the 2nd slot despite having identical points and results, but because of lesser run rate.

With 14 points each, Kalabagan Cricket Academy, Prime Doleshwar SC, defending champions Legends of Rupganj and Mohammedan SC finished 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th respectively on the basis of net run rate to reach the super six. But despite having 14 points, Victoria SC failed to make super six.

In the day's other fog interrupted curtailed-over match at the BKSP ground-3 in Savar, 7th place finisher Victoria Sporting Club defeated Kalabagan Cricket Academy by 48 runs while Brothers Union notched a 93-run victory over Old DOHS Sports Club at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
