Ansar clinches Women's team event title

Bangladesh Ansar clinched the Women's Team event title of the AB Bank 29th National Table Tennis Championship beating Bangladesh Biman by 3-1 sets at the National Sports Council Gymnasium Wednesday, reports UNB.

Saleha (Ansars) defeated Seema (Biman) by 11-4, 11-5, 11-3 points, Rumi (Ansars) outplayed Ratan (Biman) by 11-7,

11-2, 11-7 points, Rahima (Biman) beat Soma (Ansars) 11-5, 8-11, 11-7, 11-8 points while Rumi (Ansar) beat Seema (Biman) 11-9, 11-8, 11-7 points.

Earlier, Bangladesh Ansars booked a seat for the final eliminating Dhaka DSA by straight 3-0 sets while Biman moved in the final beating Rajshahi DSA by also 3-0 sets.

In the Men's team event, Bangladesh Ansar beat Pabna DSA by 3-1 sets while Bangladesh Biman defeated Feni DSA by 3-0 sets.

In the Boys' team event, Dhaka DSA defeated Narail DSA by 3-2 sets while Chittagong DSA beat Bangladesh Biman by 3-1 sets at the same venue.
