Ansar earn title

Bangladesh Ansar and VDP team clinched the Dhaka North and South City Corporations Pioneer Football League crown beating Tangail Football Academy 3-2 in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.

Mohammad Jewel of Bangladesh Ansar was named the best player of the final.

BFF Vice-President and Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy witnessed the final as chief guest and later distributed the champions' trophy and prize money of Tk one lakh to Bangladesh Ansar.

Director of BRAC Dairy and Food Enterprises Toufiqur Rahman handed over the runner-up trophy and prize money of Tk 50,000 to Tangail Football Academy.

Earlier in the semifinals, Bangladesh Ansar & VDP team eliminated Football Supporters Forum by 3-1 goals while Tangail Football Academy beat Fakirerpool Surjo Tarun Sangha 2-0.
