Bangladesh Ansar smartly reached the semifinals of the CityCell National Women's Football Championship as Group A champions with all-win run beating Satkhira DSA by 5-0 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Monday, reports UNB.
Suinu Pru Marma made a hattrick scoring three goals in the 8th, 10th and 22nd minutes to be adjudged player of the match, while Kabina Chakma netted the remaining two goals in the 20th and 41st minutes.
Bangladesh Ansar will play the semifinal Thursday against the losers of Bangladesh VDP and Jessore DSA, who meet today (Tuesday) in the last group match.
In the day's other match, Narayanganj DSA also confirmed the semifinal berth from Group A eliminating Rajshahi DSA by 3-0 goals at the same venue in the afternoon.
Afia Khatun Bithi, Tahmina Akhter Putul and Sukhi scored one goal each for the winners. Bithi was adjudged player of the match.
Earlier, Bangladesh VDP and Jessore DSA confirmed the semifinal berths from Group B with one match to spare.
