GLENDALE, Arizona, July 01 (Agencies): Ecuador secured a place in the Copa America quarter-finals on Sunday after grinding out a 0-0 draw with Mexico, who bowed out of the tournament after finishing third in Group B.

Ecuador, who are looking to reach their first semi-final since hosting the event in 1993, face defending champions Argentina in the quarters, while group winners Venezuela, who beat Jamaica 3-0, take on Canada. In the quarterfinals, Ecuador will face Argentina in Houston on July 4, while Venezuela will take on Canada in Arlington, Texas, the next day.

Meanwhile, five-times World Cup champions Brazil and in-form Colombia meet in North California on Tuesday (Wednesday as per BST) in a highly-anticipated clash with more than just the Group D lead on the line.

The top two teams from each of the four groups qualify for the quarter finals and Brazil currently occupy the second qualifying berth in their group. Victory over Colombia in the final group game would leave Brazil on seven points, meaning they would finish as the winners of Group D. A draw on Tuesday would give Dorival's men five points - enough to secure a place on the next round but not as the leaders. It would leave them on five points, two behind Colombia.
