Bangladeshi teenage swimmer M Ariful Islam clinched the gold medal in the 50-meter breaststroke for the trainees of 13-16 age-group of the Asian Youth Camp held in Dohar, Qatar last week, reports UNB.
Ariful Islam achieved the feat in 32.43 seconds among the 32 competitors of the meet, jointly organised by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Qatar Olympic Association and world swimming body FINA.
The three-member Bangladesh team also included swimmer Marium Akhter and coach M Abdul Hamid.
