Bangladesh Army notched 2-1 goals victory over another Services team, Bangladesh Air Force, in the lone Office Hockey League match at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
Skipper Mohammad Sirajul Islam and Mohammad Sanwar Hossain scored one goal each for the winners while Russell Uddin netted the lone goal for the losers. All the goals came in the first half.
Sirajul opened the account for the winners in the very 5th minute by converting a penalty corner (1-0) while Sanwar doubled the margin in the 29th minute from a field goal (2-0).
Russell pulled one back for the losers in the 31st minute from a penalty corner (2-1).
