Bangladesh Army clinched the Dimond Melamine Federation Cup Rugby tournament crushing Kanchon Rugby Warriors by 53-0 point in the final on the Paltan Maidan ground in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
Obaidur Rahman was adjudged man of the final while Raisul Islam Russell earned man of the tournament title. Kanchon Rugby finished runners-up in the six-team four-day meet.
National Sports Council (Director Sports) Narayan Chandra Debnath distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest at the closing function.
The participating teams were Bangladesh Army, Kanchon Rugby Warriors, Bangladesh Amateur Rugby Club, Madartack Rugby Club, Flame Boys' Rugby Club and Madaripur District Sports Association.
