Australian cricket coach John Harmer arrived in city Thursday to make presentation before the BCB interview board as a candidate for Bangladesh cricket coach, reports UNB.
John Harmer, a former coach of England women's team, will make his presentation at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Management Office in Gulshan today (Friday) at 10:00 am.
The BCB interview board comprises former national skippers ASM Raquibul Hassan and Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, national coach Jalal Ahmed Chowdhury, national cricketer Ishtiaque Ahmed and former national team manager MA Latif Khan.
Harmer is likely to compete with another Australian coach Jamie Siddons and Dave Houghton of Zimbabwe as per the short list of probable cricket coaches for Bangladesh, prepared by former committee of BCB.
Harmer played one season for Victoria Second XI in Australia in 1960-61, though he is better known for his career as coach. He coached the Australian women's team before working with the England women's team between 2001 and 2003.
Shaun Williams is now acting as interim coach of Bangladesh national team after Dav Whatmore's resignation following the home series against India early this year.
