B’desh, S Arabia do practices in city

Both the Saudi Arabian Football team and hosts Bangladesh Football team did their practices in the capital Saturday ahead of the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers beginning in the city at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on September 16, reports UNB.

The Saudi Arabian team, which reached Dhaka Thursday, had their practices at the Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club ground while Bangladesh team did their practice at the BFF Astro turf in Motijheel Saturday.

The Saudi Arabian team will also do their practice at the Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club this (Sunday) afternoon while Bangladesh team will have their practice at the Dhanmondi Abahani ground this (Sunday) morning.

Earlier, hosts Bangladesh were put in Group D of the Asian meet alongside Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Pakistan. However, Pakistan withdrew from the meet.  The United Arab Emirates (UAE), the other foreign team of the group, will arrive in the city tomorrow (Monday) to participate in the qualifying round of the Asian Junior meet.
