MADRID, Feb 1 (AFP): Welsh winger Gareth Bale will miss a second consecutive game due to a calf injury as Real Madrid travel to fourth- placed Athletic Bilbao in a key La Liga clash on Sunday.
Bale was substituted at half-time in last weekend's 2-0 win over Granada due to the problem and has been unable to train with his teammates all week.
The 24-year-old has now missed a total of eight games to injury in four separate spells since joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported 91 million euros ($122.7million) back in September.
However, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident he will be fit in time for the first leg of Real's Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
"He is not available for tomorrow because he hasn't trained all week with the group," Ancelotti told a press conference on Saturday.
