Bangamata int'l squash tourney starts in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Mar 19: Bangamata International Squash Tournament -2022 has started at Chittagong Club Limited in the port city on Friday.

SA Group has sponsored the tournament.

Chairman of Chittagong Club Limited Nader Khan inaugurated the Bangamata International Squash Tournament -2022 as the chief guest on Friday.

Besides, Chairman of SA Group of Industries Shahab Uddin Alam, General Secretary of Professional Squash Association (PSA) Brig General Kamrul Islam, Managing Director of SA Group of Industries Sazzad Arefin Alam, members of Chittagong Club Executive Committee were present at the inaugural function of the tournament.

Addressing the function, Chairman of Chittagong Club Limited Nader Khan said, "Bangamata International Squash Tournament-2022 is an important international squash event of Bangladesh."

Chairman of SA Group of Industries Shahab Uddin Alam said, "We are very happy to support and arrange the tournament. SA Group will support all good events in sports in Bangladesh."

A total of 10 countries have been participating in the Bangamata International Squash Tournament -2022. A total of 48 players including 16 female players and 32 male players from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Canada, Malaysia, Australia, Kuwait, Egypt and Bangladesh are contesting in the tournament. The tournament will be ended on March 22.
