Bangladesh Army drub Afsar Ltd 8-0

Bangladesh Army got off to a flying start in the Office Hockey League drubbing Afsar Limited by 8-0 in one of the opening matches that begun Tuesday at the Moulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium, reports UNB.
Skipper Sirajul Islam scored three goals, Sanwar Hossain struck twice, while Didar Hossain Jamal Khan and Abdul Khalek netted one goal each for the Army who led the first half 4-0.
In the day's another match, Firoz Land Property defeated Bangladesh Air Force by 6-3 goals after leading the first half 3-1.
Chayan and Moksed struck twice each while Habul and Rahul scored one goal apiece for the winner. Mamun Hossain scored two goals, while Russell Uddin netted the lone goal for the losers.
Earlier, Hockey Federation vice chairman Pratap Sankar Hajra, general secretary Shamsul Bari and joint secretary Khaja Rahmat Ullah were present at the inaugural ceremony.
