Bangladesh Army make good start beating AR Bhuiyan College

Bangladesh Army SC Ltd made a good start in the UCB Women's Football League 2023-24 beating Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College SC by 1-0 goal in the opening match at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mustofa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur in the city on Saturday, reports UNB.
In the day's opener, Sultana scored the match-winning goal for Bangladesh Army in the 38th minute (1-0).
Earlier, BFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin inaugurated the nine-team league, Powered by Upay, at a simple ceremony on Saturday afternoon.
AFC council member and Chairperson of the BFF Committee for Women's Football Mahfuza Akter Kiron, First Assistant Vice President, Brand Marketing and Corporate Affairs Division of the league sponsor UCB Bank Ltd Saiful Islam Khan and BFF general secretary Imran Hossain Tushar were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the BFF president asked the women's league committee to change match timing due to current unbearable hot temperature.
