Bangladesh bow down to India

A six-wicket haul by right-arm medium fast bowler Abu Nechim Ahmed guided India U-19 team to clinch the Tri-Nation Cricket Tournament crushing Bangladesh by 129 runs at the Colts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo Saturday, reports UNB.
An Ahmed-scalped six wickets for just nine runs in 7.5 overs dismiss Bangladesh for paltry 70 runs in 30.5 overs after India posted a moderate 199 for all in 49.2 overs.
Batting first after winning the toss, middle order Indian batsman Saurav Tiwary topscored 86 runs off 88 balls with five fours and five sixes.
Number four V Kohli 27, opener SP Goswami 24, A Mukund 16 and I Abdullah 16 were the other notable scorers for the winners.
Rubel Hossain and Golam Kibria claimed three wickets each for 33 and 43 runs respectively. In reply, the junior Tigers were forced to fold their innings at 70 with only two batsmen reaching double figures.
Number seven Nasir Hossain scored innings highest 21 runs while Mahmudul Hasan made 17.
Earlier, in the league matches, India outplayed Bangladesh by 97 runs in the first match and by 129 runs in the 2nd match (D/L method).
Hosts Sri Lanka were the other team in the meet, but they had to quit the race without winning any matches.
