Bangladesh defeated in all three ODIs

Bangladesh conceded three successive losses in their Pre-Under -19 Cricket World Cup 2018 practice matches after losing the 3rd game to Afghanistan by 56 runs at Christs College, Christchurch in New Zealand on Monday, reports UNB.

Bangladesh lost their 2nd practice match by 24 runs against Otaga A team at Otago Oval, Dunedin on January 4 after a six-wicket loss against the same team and at same venue in the first game on January 3.

In the day's match, replying to Afghanistan's 206/10 in 48.2 overs, Bangladesh finished their journey on 150/10 in 41.4 overs.

Sent in to bat first, Afghanistan collected their figure with Azmatullah's, was caught by Mohammad Naim off Robiul Haque on the innings final score, top-scoring 81 off 66 balls, including five boundaries and five sixes.

Baheer Shah (44 off 60b; 5x4), Ibrahim Zadran (32 off 64b; 2x6) and Mujeeb Zadran (15 off 10b; 2x4; 1x6) were the other double digit scorers for the side.

Pacer Hasan Mahmud was the most successful wicket taker for Bangladesh capturing four wicket fort 64 runs in nine overs, while off-break Robiul Haque bagged three for 56 in 9.2 overs.

Opener Pinak Ghosh (54 off 56b; 8x4) and skipper Saif Hassan (43 off 74 b; 4x4) were the double digit scorers in the Bangladesh innings. Afghan skipper Naveen-ul-Haq got four wickets for 42 in 8.4 overs while Qais Ahmad took three for 26 in 10 overs.
