Bangladesh will face visiting South Africa in their crucial second and final T20I of the National Polymer two-match series scheduled to be held today (Tuesday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur, reports BSS.
Private satellite channel Gazi TV will telecast the match live that kicks off at 1 pm.
Bangladesh must win the second match to save the series as the visitors already took a 1-0 lead in the series beating the hosts by 52 runs in the first match.
Expectation is high from the Tigers batsmen though except Shakib Al Hasan most of the team members of the current squad have little experience in T20 format.
In the last game the Tigers batsmen failed to put any notable contribution to the team to chase the decent total of 148 set by South Africa losing wickets in regular intervals, but they must have to flare up in the second match against the Proteas to save the series.
The Tigers were hasty in their chase and Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan need to execute proper shots in the next game.
They were first hustled by South Africa's pace attack and later strangled by Aaron Phangiso and JP Duminy. The visitors will want more of the same in the second T20.
The hosts will also hope their bowling attack can once again contain South Africa, and that their batsmen can find the right blend of discipline and aggression.
Left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny took the wickets of AB de Villiers and JP Duminy but did not finish his full quota of four overs. He had figures of 3-0-19-2 and will be expected to be accurate once again. Legspinner Jubair Hossain, who was one of two players to go to training on Monday, could replace Sohag Gazi who went wicketless in his two overs. The visitors had left out Beuran Hendricks, Chris Morris and Eddie Leie for the first T20 and it is likely they will remain benched, unless South Africa have plans to hand the young legspinner Leie a T20 debut. Bangladesh (possible): Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wicket keeper), Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Litton Das, Sohag Gazi/Jubair Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza (captain), Arafat Sunny and Mustafizur Rahman.
South Africa (possible): Quinton de Kock (wicket keeper), AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis (captain), JP Duminy, David Miller, Rilee Rossouw, David Wiese, Wayne Parnell, Kyle Abbott, Kagiso Rabada and Aaron Phangiso.
