Holders Dhaka Abahani Limited beat Chittagong Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals in a match of the GrameenPhone Bangladesh League at the Cox's Bazar Stadium Tuesday, reports UNB.
With the day's result, Dhaka Abahani moved up to the 2nd slot in the league table securing 29 points, two points behind league leaders Muktijoddha Sangsad KC (P-31-M-12) while bottom-ranked Chittagong Abahani remained at four points, both playing 13 matches.
In the day's match, Shakhawat Hossain Ronny and Ghanaian recruit Ntim Frank scored one goal each for Dhaka Abahani in the 38th and 59th minute respectively.
Earlier, in the day, Chittagong Mohammedan SC held Dhaka Mohammedan SC to a 2-2 draw at the same venue.
With the day's draw, Dhaka Mohammedan SC secured 17 points while Chittagong Mohammedan SC bagged 11 points, both from 13 matches.
