Barisal Blazer ready to blaze

Shahriar Nafees's Barisal Blazer sounded early warning that they, confident with their balanced side, are eagerly waiting to blaze in the National Cricket League T20 which began Sunday at Sher-e -Bangla National Stadium, reports BSS.
Barisal Sports Consortium the owner of Barisal Blazer franchise arranged a press conference Sunday at a city hotel to provide all details about their team.
Directors of Barisal Blazers - Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Mamun, ATM Saidul Alam Tito, Kazi Shakhawat Hossain Lintu , Alamgir Shamsul Alamin Kajal, MA Chowdhury Awal Bhulu all were present at the press briefing.
Skipper Shahriar Nafees and coach Minhajul Abedin Nannu along with all the directors spoke on the occasion.
Shariar made it very clear that they have a team blended with youth and experience and have set their sights on the last four.
"We don't have star players, but we have talented bunch mingled with some experienced players, who all have individual target of securing a place in the National Academy, Bangla-desh A team or returning to the national fold. It is a balanced side and we are hoping to provide some instant magic in the competition," Barisal Blazers captain and former Bangladesh team vice captain Shahriar Nafees said.
The Barisal Blazers will launch their campaign taking on Dhaka Dynamites in one of three matches at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium today (Monday).
"We don't want to mount pressure on the shoulders of the young players by setting a big target such as be champions or runners-up and that's why we first want to qualify for the semi-finals and then think of the final," said Nafees.
