BCB Academy beat Australian Capital Territory by 77 runs

After conceding two consecutive defeats, touring BCB National Cricket Academy team returned to the winning ways as they beat Australian Capital Territory by 77 runs in the 4th one-day match of the Institute Challenge Cup Friday, reports UNB.
Coin-favoured, Academy team batted first at the Mararra Cricket Ground 2 and scored 183 runs for nine wickets in the allocated 40 overs with number three Nasiruddin Faruque topscoring 46 runs off 73 balls that featured four fours.
Opener Jahurul Islam contributed 41 runs off 69 balls with five fours while number eight Dollar Mahmud hammered 34 runs off 22 balls with three sixes.
Devoy claimed three wickets for 32 runs while Cruz took two wickets for 22 runs.
In reply, the hosts were bundled out for 106 runs in 35.3 overs. Middle order May scored 34 runs off 84 balls with two fours while Pascoe made run-a-ball 25.
Pacer Nazmul Hossain, spinners Enamul Haque Jr. and Mehrab Hossain Jr. (skipper) took two wickets each.
Earlier, GP-BCB Cricket Academy team conceded a 83-run defeat in the 2nd one-day match against New South Wales and a 8-wicket defeat in the 3rd one-day match against Queensland Academy of Sports. They won the first one-day match by 10 runs against Western Australia Monday.
The visitors will play a 3-day match against Tasmania on September 2 to September 4. The fifth one-day match will be played against NT Strike on September 7, followed by a lone four-day match against the same opponents on September 10-13.
