BCB Academy leave for Australia today

The GrameenPhone Bangladesh Cricket Board National Cricket Academy team, led by national opener Mehrab Hossain Jr, leave Dhaka today (Thursday) for Australia on a three-week tour, reports UNB.
In a packed schedule during the tour, the Academy team will play seven matches-five one-dayers, one three-dayer and one four-dayer-against Australian selections.
The team will begin the tour with a one-day match against Western Australia on August 27 and then play three more one-dayers against New South Wales on August 28, Queensland Academy of Sports on August 30 and ACT on August 31.
They will play the three-day match against Tasmania on September 2-4, another one-day match against NT Strike on September 7 and the lone four-day match against the same opponents on September 10-13.
The Academy squad has completed their eight-week preparation for the Australian tour in three phases-fitness training, skill development and practice matches.
As part of the preparations, the Academy team played three practice matches against the Twenty20 World Championship-bound national team and conceded defeats in all the three matches.
BCB Academy team: Mehrab Hossain Jr. (Captain), Nasiruddin Faruk (vice captain), Naim Islam, Sahagir Hossain Pavel, Dhiman Ghosh, Dollar Mahmud, Suhrawardi Shuvo, Jahirul Islam Omi, Talha Jubair, Nazmul Hossain, Raqibul Hasan, Musharraf Hossain Rubel, Mahbubul Alam Robin and Imrul Kayes.
