BCB Academy team leaves for Australia Aug 23

The GrameenPhone-Bangladesh Cricket Board National Cricket Academy team, led by national opening batsman Mehrab Hossain Jr, will leave for Australia on August 23, reports UNB.
During the three-week tour, the team will play five one-day, one three-day and one four-day matches against Australian selections in a packed schedule.
The team will begin the tour taking on Western Australia on August 27. It will battle against New South Wales on August 28 and face Queensland Academy of Sports and ACT on August 30 and 31.
The three-day match will be played against Tasmania on September 2-4. The fifth one-day match will be played against NT Strike on September 7 following the lone four-day match against the same opponents on September 10-13.
The Academy squad now undergoing eight-week preparation for the Australian tour in three phases-fitness training, skill development and match practice.
The match practice session is now going on as the academy boys set to take on South Africa-bound Bangladesh national cricket team in two Twenty20 cricket matches on August 21 and 22 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
Addressing a press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium Sunday Manager-cum-coach of the GP-BCB Academy team Khaled Mahmud Sujon said the ensuing tour would help them to adjust with the tough condition of Australia. It will give them some advantage in future.
Australian condition is very tough. Every team in the world had to struggle to adjust with the condition there, he added.
