BCB announces squad for ACC Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday a 15-member Bangladesh squad for the ACC Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup' 2019 beginning in Sri Lankan capital Colombo on October 22, reports UNB.

Four teams-- India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh-- will compete in the week-long tournament.

Shaila Sharmin will lead the Bangladesh team in Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh will play India in the opening match on the Thurstan ground on October 22 while Pakistan will face Sri Lanka RPICS in Colombo in the day's other match.

In the remaining matches, Bangladesh will meet Pakistan on October 23 and face hosts Sri Lanka on October 25. The final match will be held on October 27.

Bangladesh team: Shaila Sharmin (captain), Nuzhat Tasnia, Mursheda Khatun, Sobhana Mostary, Fahima Khatun, Ritu Moni, Ishma Tanjim, Rubya Haider Jhilik, Nahida Akter, Suraya Azmim, Puja Chakraborty, Rabeya, Mumta Hena Hasnat, Fariha Islam Trisna and Sumaiya Akter.

Stand-by cricketers: Laboni Akter, Zinnat Asia Ortthi and Tazia Akter.
