BCB crack 316

BCB Under-19 team scored 316 runs for all in 82.1 overs in their first innings against visiting Sri Lanka Under-19 team on the opening day of the first three-day match at the Narayanganj Osmani Stadium at Fatullah Wednesday, reports UNB.
After electing to bat first, the hosts experienced early batting jolt in the face of disciplined bowling by the visitors. But the middle order repaired the early damage to stretch the team's total to a respectable position.
Anamul Haq top scored 81 runs off 135 bals with eight fours and a six while Irfan Sukkur made 54 off 57 balls with seven fours. Skipper Mahmudul Hasan (43) and Saikat Ali (34) were the other notable scorers for BCB U-19 team.
Rushal Jaleel captured three wickets for 80 runs while Lahiru Jayaratne and Chathura Peries took two wickets each for 35 and 59 runs respectively.
In reply, Sri Lanka Under-19 team, in their first innings, scored 28 for no loss in five overs with skipper Dinesh Chandimal and Udara Jayasundara bating on 15 and 12 runs respectively as the bails were drawn for the day.
