BCB seal T20 series against Maharashtra

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI earned second successive victory in the three-match Twenty20 cricket series beating Indian Ranji Trophy side Maharashtra Cricket Association by 46 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka Monday, reports UNB.
Hosts BCB XI, studded with the cricketers of Bangladesh national team for the next month's ICC Twenty20 World Cup in England, made an encouraging start outplaying Maharashtra CA by 63 runs in the first match at the same venue Sunday.
Opting to bat first in the day's match, BCB XI scored 167 runs for five wickets in stipulated 20 overs with opener Tamim Iqbal making a half century with 51 runs off 42 balls that included five boundaries.
All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan blasted 49 runs off 20 balls with four fours and four sixes, one down Shamsur Rahman scored run-a-ball 33 with three fours, opener Junaed Siddiqui made 18-ball 20 runs with four fours and wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim scored seven runs off three balls with a boundary.
Ganesh Gaikwad grabbed three wickets for 20 runs in quota four overs while skipper Harshad Khadiwale and Sangram Shrikandhe took one wicket apiece.
In reply, Maharashtra CA were restricted at 121 for 7 in allocated 20 overs with opener Harshad Khadiwale scoring 54 runs and middle order Digamber Wagmare 37 runs.
All rounder Mahmudullah Riyad picked up three wickets for 22 runs in four overs while Naeem Islam bagged two for 21 runs.
