BCB to hold small scale BPL opening ceremony in Sylhet

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to organise a small-scale opening ceremony for the inauguration of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in Sylhet on December 26, reports BSS.
Cultural programmes will be held either before the start of the match or between the two matches, with performances by some popular bands expected.
Due to the opening ceremony, changes have been made to the match schedule on the opening day.
According to the previous schedule, the match between Sylhet Titans and Rajshahi Warriors was set to begin at 2pm. However, the match will now start at 3pm. Moreover, a 20-minute break will be kept between the two innings. The second match of the day will begin at 7:45pm, featuring Noakhali Express against Chattogram Royals. The six-team BPL will be held across three venues--Sylhet, Chattogram, and Dhaka. The tournament will kick off in Sylhet, where matches will be played from December 26 to January 02.
Chattogram will host the tournament from January 05 to January 12, while the Dhaka leg will begin on January 15. The eliminator, qualifier, and final will also be held in Dhaka, with the final scheduled for January 23.
The BCB has announced the ticket prices for the Sylhet leg on Sunday, with prices ranging from Taka 200 to Taka 2,000 depending on the gallery.
