BD A trail by 60 runs against Zimbabwe A after 3rd day

Bangladesh A Team trailed by 60 runs with nine wickets in hand against Zimbabwe A team in the 2nd innings on the 3rd day of the four-day unofficial Test cricket at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar Tuesday, reports UNB.

Bangladesh A resumed the first innings on third day with overnight 162 for 3 in 92 overs and scored 211 runs for all in 120.4 overs.

Night watch batsman Rakibul Hasan scored 43 runs off 169 balls with four fours while skipper Naeem Islam, also a night watch, added 22 runs.

There were no other double digit scorers for Bangladesh on third day Tuesday.

Wellington Masakadza captured six wickets for 63 runs in 38 overs while Tinotenda Mutombodzi grabbed four wickets for 38 runs in 21.4 overs.

Zimbabwe opened the 2nd innings having scored 206 runs in the first innings and were forced to fold their innings for 108 runs in 48.2 overs.

One down Brian Chari scored team highest 23 runs while skipper Vusimuzi Sibanda (19), Luke Jongwe (16), Mark Vermeulen (11) and Wellington Masakadza (11) were the other double digit scorers for Zimbabwe.

Saqlain Sajib, who captured nine wickets for 82 runs in the first innings for Bangladesh, claimed six wickets for 50 runs in 21.2 overs in the 2nd innings while Zubair Hossain grabbed four wickets for 18 runs in 10 overs.

Bangladesh opened the 2nd innings having 211 runs in the first innings and scored 43 runs for 1 in 15 overs at stumps on third day.

Liton Kumar and Marshall Ayub were batting on 27 and 10 runs respectively.

Wellington Masakadza took one wicket for 27 runs in 8 overs.

Bangladesh will resume the 2nd innings on the fourth and last day Wednesday morning.
