Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed have moved up the ICC ODI rankings after the latest 2-1 ODI series victory of the Tigers against Australia.
Shoriful claimed a six-wicket haul in the series finale and was rewarded by climbing 10 spots to 18th on the updated rankings for ODI bowlers, while Rahman (up 12 places to equal 25th) and Taskin (up five rungs to 27th) also made ground following some decent efforts against the Aussies, reports ICC.
Towhid Hridoy compiled 154 runs across the three-match series with a best innings of 83 and the right-hander was duly rewarded by gaining seven spots to move to 20th on the updated list for ODI batters.
Meanwhile, players from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and West Indies have also made progression in the rankings.
Afghanistan ace Rahmanullah Gurbaz was also an eye-catching mover in this category, with the opener climbing six spots to 13th overall following his magnificent century during the series opener against India in Dharamsala.
There was also some movement on the latest T20I rankings following the completion of the three-match series between the West Indies and Sri Lanka in the Caribbean.
It was the West Indies that came out on top 2-1 in that series, with right-arm quick Shamar Joseph proving the chief destroyer as he claimed 11 wickets to be adjudged the Player of the Series.
Joseph also rose a whopping 42 places to move to 27th on the latest rankings for ODI bowlers, with experienced teammate Jason Holder (up 11 spots to 28th) also making gains following his four wickets from two appearances during the series.
There were plenty of positives for Sri Lanka though, with Kamil Mishara (up 24 rungs to 18th) rising the list for ODI batters and spin duo Wanindu Hasaranga (up six spots to eighth) and Dunith Wellalage (up 11 slots to equal 17th) both making ground on the updated rankings for ODI bowlers.
