BD earn silver in Stage-2 of Asia Cup Archery

Bangladesh National Archery team won the silver medal in Stage-2 of the Asia Cup Archery (World Ranking Tournament) in the recurve bow of men's team event losing to Russia by 0-6 set points in the final in Bangkok Saturday, reports UNB.

Earlier, Bangladesh reached the event's final eliminating India by 5-4 in the semifinal.

Bangladesh archers defeated China 5-4 to reach the quarterfinal and outplayed Chinese Taipei 6-0 to reach semi-final.

Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Syed Shahed Reza and EC members congratulated the Archery team for their feat.

BOA will accord a reception to Bangladesh Archery team today (Sunday) soon after their arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from Bangkok.
