BD finish runners-up

Bangladesh finished runners-up in the 3rd South Asian  Basketball Championship beating hosts Nepal by 80-73 points in the last match in Kathmandu Saturday, reports UNB.

Bangladesh led the first half by 40-38 points (Rasheduzzaman caged 19 and Tareq 12 points).

India emerged champions, Sri Lanka finished 3rd and hosts Nepal was placed 4th in the regional meet.

Bangladesh team: Rasheduzzaman, Mithun Biswas, Abdul Wadud, Morshed Alam, Shamsuzzaman Khan Shoeb, Mahmudul Hasan Shawon, Khaled Mahmud Akash, Ibrahim Mohammad, Tareq Aziz and Mohammad Shohag.

Manager - Khairul Alam Farhad, Assistant Manager - Shahadat Hossain Sikder, Coach - Wasif Ali and FIBA Referee - Sabuj Miah.
