The Bangladesh U-16 Women's Football team will leave Dhaka for Nepal today (Wednesday) morning to participate in the four-nation SAFF U-16 Women's Championship'2024 to be held in Lalitpur from March 01-10, reports UNB.
Bangladesh will start their campaign by taking on hosts Nepal on March 02 (Saturday), at 3 pm local time at the Chyasal Stadium in Lalitpur, while India will play Bhutan in the opening match on Friday, (March 1) also at 3: pm at the same venue.
BFF and AFC member Mahfuza, Akter Kiron, who is also the chairperson of the BFF committee for women's football, disclosed the team's preparation and details of the meet at a pre tour press conference at the BFF house on Tuesday. Deputy Managing Director of the team sponsor, Dhaka Bank Ltd, Akhlaqur Rahman, team's head ccoach, Saiful Bari TTitu,and captain Orpita Biswas, among others, also spoke on the occasion.
