Bangladesh have accumulated rating points to move closer to England in the ICC One Day International (ODI) rankings after coming from behind to claim a memorable series win against South Africa, reportsbdnews24.com.
The Tigers stamped their authority on the visitors by handing them a nine-wicket thrashing in the series decider Wednesday.
It propelled them to a maiden series triumph against the fourth-ranked ODI side.
It was their fourth consecutive ODI series victory at home. Bangladesh, who are ranked seventh, had 93 points before the series began. They are followed by West Indies and Pakistan, on eighth and ninth.
England are ranked sixth with 98 points.
