BD on a losing streak for 4th successive matches

Bangladesh Women's Hockey team are on the losing streak for the 4th successive matches conceding 3-9 goals defeat to touring Sports Authority of India's (SAI) National Academy Women's Hockey team in their 4th match of the six-match friendly series at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium in the city on Sunday, reports UNB.

Bangladesh U-21 Women's Hockey team, now preparing for their maiden participation in the Women's Junior (U-21) AHF Cup Hockey Qualifiers in Singapore from September 9-15, was trailing by 0-4 goal in the first half of the day's match.

Nadia struck twice in the 44th and 57th minutes respectively while Farida Akter Ratri scored the other goal for Bangladesh in the 33rd minute.

The 5th match will be held today (Monday) at 07:00 pm and the 6th and last match on Wednesday (August 28) at 04:00 pm, both at the Maulana Bhasani National Stadium.

Earlier, Bangladesh Women's Hockey team conceded 0-6 goal defeat in their first two matches and conceded 0-3 goals defeat in the 3rd match last Friday to the visiting Indian team at the same venue.
