Bangladesh Police Handball Club moved into the final of the Walton First Federation Cup Women's Handball Tournament on Wednesday, arranged on the occasion of Mujib Borsho marking the birth centenary of the nation's founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports UNB.
Police will lock horns with Bangladesh Ansar & VDP on December 05 at 11:30am for the championship.
In the day's second semifinal, Bangladesh Police Handball team eliminated Jamalpur Sports Academy beating them by 38-13 goals after leading the first half by 16-8 goals at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Dhaka.
Rubina scored 22 goals for Police while Sharmin netted four goals for the Jamalpur.
Two losing semifinalists -- Naogaon DSA and Jamalpur Sports Academy -- will meet each other in the 3rd place decider on Thursday morning at the same venue.
