Bangladesh volleyball team registered the second successive win in the 4th Asian Beach Games beating Afghanistan by 21-5, 21-10 points at Karon Beach in Phuket, Thailand Tuesday, reports UNB.
Earlier, in the first match Monday, Bangladesh won against Kazakhstan by 21-10, 21-12 points at the same venue.

A total of 5,000 Asian athletes and officials participated in the 10-day battle for 169 gold medals of the 26 disciplines of sports at seven different beach venues-Patong Beach, Karon Beach, Naiyang Beach, Saphan Hin Sports Centre, Anthem Wake Park and Chaofa Mine-of Phuket.
BSS adds: Bangladesh finished 4th position in the 4th Asian Beach Basketball in Phuket.
In the quarterfinal event held Tuesday, Bangladesh beat China by 20-19 points but lost to India by 6-21 points in the semifinal stage. Later, in the place deciding match, Bangladesh lost to host Thailand by 15-17 points.
In the beach volleyball preliminary round event, Bangladesh beat Bangladesh earned 2-0 set victory over Tajikistan.
In the beach handball preliminary round, Bangladesh lost to Bahrain by 2-0 set.
