After losing five top wickets for just 77 runs in 21.3 overs, Saad Nasim and Haris Sohail pair confidently stayed in the crease to score a painstaking innings of 77 runs in 17.3 overs in the sixth wicket stand to carry the team total to 154 for 6 in 39 overs, before number four Sohail was caught and bowled by Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.
Haris Sohail scored 44 runs off 61 balls with one four and one six.
Earlier, Bangladesh's pacer Rubel Hossain made breakthrough in the Pakistan's innings, taking opening batsman Sarfraz Ahmed (7 off 11b), who was caught by Soumya Sarkar leaving team total 36 for one in 7.1 overs.
Pakistani most experienced and reliable batsman Mohammad Hafeez sent back to the pavilion for a duck as spinner Arafat Sunny bowled him with scoreboard showing 37 for 2 in 9 overs.
