Hosts Bangladesh will take on touring Sri Lanka in the 2nd match of the three-match One Day International (ODI) series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city today (Thursday) hoping for a comeback in the series, reports UNB.
The day-night match will begin at 1:00 pm Bangladesh time.
The 3rd and last ODI match will be held Saturday (Feb 22) at the same venue.
State-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Maasranga TV will telecast the match live.
Bangladesh went down in the three-match ODI series 0-1 after conceding a frustrating 13-run defeat against Sri Lanka from a position of advantage in a low scoring first ODI Monday at the same venue.
The Bengal Tigers earlier lost the two-match Test series 0-1 in Dhaka and conceded a straight 0-2 defeat in the last ball thrillers in the two-match T20 series in Chittagong against the touring Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh (possible) - Tamim Iqbal, Shamsur Rahman, Anamul Haque (wicket keeper)/Naeem Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim (captain), Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Sohag Gazi, Arafat Sunny, Al-Amin Hossain/Mashrafe Mortaza and Rubel Hossain.
Sri Lanka (possible)- Kusal Perera, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara (wicket keeper), Dinesh Chandimal, Ashan Priyanjan, Kithuruwan Vithanage, Angelo Mathews (captain), Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Sachithra Senanayake and Lasith Malinga.
