B\\\'desh U-23 team to face Nepal today

Bangladesh Under-23 Football Team will take on visiting Nepal Under-23 side in their 2nd and last match of the two-match SS Steel International Friendly Football series at the Sylhet District Stadium today Friday, reports UNB.

The match will begin at 5:30 pm. State-run BTV World will telecast the match live. Earlier, in the first match of the series Tuesday, Bangladesh beat Nepal by a solitary goal at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in Banani, Dhaka.

The Nepalese team, comprising 20 players and four officials, will return home on August 30 after their six-day trip.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) earlier invited the Himalayan team as part of Bangladesh's preparation for the next month's Asian Games Football that will begin in the South Korea city of Incheon on September 14. Bangladesh has been placed in Group-B of the Asian Games football along with SAFF football champions Afghanistan, Hong Kong and stronger Uzbekistan.

Bangladesh football team is expected to leave Dhaka for Incheon on September 12 to take part in the Asian Games.

Bangladesh will start their Asian Games football campaign against Afghanistan on September 15 at Munhak Stadium. They will meet giant Uzbekistan on Sept 18 and Hong Kong on Sept 22 in the remaining group matches.
