Persistent rain forced on Wednesday the organisers to reschedule the second youth ODI of the five-match series between Bangladesh and New Zealand U-19, reports UNB.

The match will now be played today (Thursday) at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln.

Bangladesh are leading the series 1-0 after winning the first match by six wickets on Sunday at the same venue.

Pacer Shoriful Islam and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury were the main architects of Bangladesh's first win, bagging three wickets each to bundle New Zealand for 176.

In reply, Bangladesh captain Akbar Ali hit an unbeaten 65 and helped his team seal the game by six wickets. Bangladesh ended on 178 for four in 38.4 overs.

The remaining matches of the series, scheduled for October 03, 06, 09 and 13, will be played at the same venue.
