Bangladesh will start Paris Olympic Games mission with archery event when archer Md. Sagor Islam will compete in the men's individual ranking round scheduled to be held today (Thursday) at Invalides venue, in Paris, according to a message received on Wednesday.
If Sagor able to cross the first hurdle, then he will play his next round on July 30.
German-born Martin Frederick in a message on Wednesday informed that "We have been here (Paris) for last three days and making practice ...... the practice facilities are good here and we are trying to adapt the local condition and preparing for the competition."
Commenting about the archery venue, the coach said the archery venue, capacity of 5000 spectators, is very beautiful and situated inside the city.
Martin informed Sagor had a neck problem three days ago and therapy is still ongoing on. Sagor however take part today's official practice and he is prepared to play.
Meanwhile, shooter Robiul Islam will take part in the 10m air rifles qualifying on July 28 at Chateauroux Shooting Center.
Swimmer Samiul Islam Rafi will compete in the 100m freestyle qualifying event on July 30 at Pars La D,fense Arena while another swimmer Sonia Khatun will take part in the 50m freestyle qualifying on August 03 at the same venue.
England-based Bangladeshi sprinter Imranur Rahman will compete in the 100m sprint qualifying event on August 4 at Stade de France.
