HALLE, Jun 16 (AP): Fourth-seed Tomas Berdych reached the Gerry Weber Open final for the second straight year Saturday with a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win against Jarkko Nieminen.
Nieminen led 4-2 in the second set, but committed several errors to let Berdych break back.
The 21-year-old Czech lost last year's final to Roger Federer, then went on to reach Wimbledon's fourth round.
"Last year it was a surprise to me that I could play so well on grass," said Berdych, ranked 12th. "Now I know that is something I can do", he added.
