Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will disclose their plans today (Monday) for the joint qualification (round 1) for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023, reports UNB.
The federation will inform about the campaign after the National Teams Committee meeting at Gemcon Tower in Dhanmondi-27, said a BFF official on Sunday.
Bangladesh have been placed in Asian (AFC) Group E along with Qatar, Oman, neighbouring India and Afghanistan.
The team will start their home and away basis campaign on September 10 taking on Afghanistan at Dushanbe in Tajikistan.
In their next matches, Bangladesh will play Qatar on October 10 in Bangladesh, India on October 15 in India, Oman on November 14 in Oman, Afghanistan on 26 March, 2020 in Bangladesh, Qatar on March 31 in Qatar, India on June 04 in Bangladesh and Oman on June 09 in Bangladesh.
Earlier, BFF announced a 25-member preliminary team of Bangladesh national football for the campaign on August 16.
The 25-member Bangladesh Team: Ashraful Islam Rana, Md Sahidul Alam, Anisur Rahman, Md Tutul Hosain Badsha, Sushanto Tripura, Md Rahmat Mia, S M Monjurur Rahman, Md Yeasin Khan, Bishwanath Ghosh, Riyadul Hasan, Nuruln Naium Faisal, Yeasin Arafat, Masuk Miah Zoni, Jamal Bhuyan, Md Mamunul Islam Mamun, Sohel Rana, Mohammad Rabiul Hasan, Biplo Ahamed, Mohammad Arifur Rahman, Mohammad Ibrahim, Mohammad Nabib Newaz Ziban, Mahbubur Rahman, Md Matin Miah, Md Saad Uddin and Md Jewl Rana.
