BFF to use Sylhet BKSP for football academy

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) was given the official right to use the Sylhet BKSP as a full- fledged football academy for the next five years, reports BSS. The scouting of the students in the academy will begin in January while the training is likely to start from March next. Initially two groups U-14 and U-18 will be enrolled in the academy. In this regard, a deal between BFF and BKSP was signed at the National Sports Council (NSC). BFF President Kazi Salahuddin and DG of BKSP Brig. Gen. MM Salehin signed the deal on behalf of their respective institutions. BFF will run a football academy for the next five years and the contract will be a renewable one. The Sylhet BKSP, one of its four centres of sporting excellence around the country, is situated on over 13 acres of land in Khadimnagar on the outskirts of the Sylhet city. BFF will monthly pay rent of Taka 50,000 to BKSP authorities to use the academy at BKSP which has two football grounds, a tennis court, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a boarding house with 42 rooms. NSC Secretary Shafiq Anwar and BKSP Deputy Director Shamima Sattar Mimu were also present on the occasion.
