BGB champions in men\\\'s group, Army in women\\\'s

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) emerged champions in the Walton Battery 31st National Senior Men's Wrestling Championship while Bangladesh Army clinched the top slot in the 5th National Women's Wrestling that concluded at the Kabaddi Stadium Thursday, reports UNB.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Shikder was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the two-day meet and he distributed the prizes.

Chairman of the Tournament Committee and Additional Director of the meet's sponsor RB Group (Walton) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar was also present. BGB secured five gold and two bronze medals to the men's group champions, Bangladesh Ansar finished runners-up collecting three gold and one bronze medals while Jessore DSA was placed 3rd with three gold and one bronze medals.

In the women's group, Bangladesh Army clinched the top slot securing four gold and two silver medals, Bangladesh Police became runners-up with three gold, two silver and two bronzes while Narail DSA was placed 3rd with one gold and two bronzes.
