BGB wrestlers reign over other servicemen

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have captured the men's championship in the Independence Day Open Wrestling Competition held between members of the armed forces, securing five golds, two silvers and two bronzes in the day-long meet held at the Kabaddi Stadium in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Ansar finished runners-up collecting three golds, two silvers and two bronzes, while Bangladesh Army came 3rd with four silvers and three bronze medals.
In the women's group, Bangladesh Ansar emerged as champions in the two-team competition securing six golds and two silvers, while Bangladesh Police were runners-up with two golds and six silvers.
Renowned politician and sports organiser Mozaffar Hossain Paltu was the chief guest at the closing function of the day-long meet and distributed the prizes.
