BJMC to play Ansar in final today


Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) and Bangladesh Ansar moved to the final of the Exim Bank 28th National Women's Handball Championship eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city on Thursday, reports UNB.
In Thursday's semifinals, BJMC beat Panchagarh by 36-14 goals after leading the first half 22-11 while Bangladesh Ansar eliminated Bangladesh Police 30-16 after dominated the first session 18-8.
The final match between BJMC and Bangladesh Ansar will kick off at 2:30 pm today (Friday) at the same venue while the 3rd place deciding match between two losing semifinalists--Panchagarh and Bangladesh Police-will also held Friday in the morning.
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy will be the chief guest in the final and later he will hand over the prizes.
