BKSP emerged champions in the Standard Chartered Young Tigers Under-16 Cricket beating Dhaka Metro Cricket Academy by 67 runs in the final at the Gulshan Youth Club ground in the city Tuesday.
Batting first after winning the toss, BKSP amassed 291 runs for nine wickets in stipulated 50 overs with Mohammad Rezwan Ahmed hammering not out 87 off 73 balls that featured eight fours and three sixes.
Opener Jasim Uddin scored 52 runs off 50 balls with nine fours while one down Shad Nahid made 63 off 72 balls with four fours and three sixes.
Enamul Haq claimed four wickets for 47 runs. In reply, Dhaka Metro Cricket Academy were all out for 224 in 49.3 overs with Obaidul Islam scoring 65 runs off 52 balls that included six fours and Jane Alam making 56 off 50 balls with five fours and three sixes.
Rezwan Ahmed of BKSP was adjudged the man of the match, reports UNB.
