BKSP reach super league

BKSP emerged group champions to reach the five-team super league of the 27th National Hockey Championship with all-win record beating Rajshahi Division by 9-0 goals at the Maulana Bhasani National Stadium in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
Abu Sajjad John scored four goals, Syed Al Masum struck twice while Tapash Barman, Ajit Kumar Ghosh and Shamsul Alam netted one goal each for the National Sports Training Institute team, which dominated the first half 4-0.
Bangladesh Air Force and Mymensingh DSA registered their second consecutive win to keep their super league hope alive in the national meet beating their respective opponents at the same venue in the afternoon.
Bangladesh Air Force drubbed all-losers Patuakhali DSA by 6-0 goals after leading the first half 3-0.
Hosne Mobarak and Mamun Hossain scored three goals each -- five field goals and the other from penalty corner.
Mymensingh DSA crushed Bangladesh Police by 6-1 goals after clearly dominating the first session 5-1.
Rahat and Rana scored two goals each while Jhunu and Jitu netted one goal each for the winners.
Shiblul Hasan scored the consolation goal for the losers.
The day's other match between two lowly teams Chittagong Division and Dinajpur DSA ended in a 2-2 draw at the same venue in the morning.
Monirul Alam Sumon and Nazimuddin scored for Chittagong Division to lead the first half by 2-0 goals. Kabir Hossain and substitute Motaleb netted one goal each in the second half to force a draw.
