Blackwood ton guides Sagicor HPC against B\\\'desh A

A Jermaine Blackwood ton enabled host Sagicor High Performance Centre (SHPC) team of West Indies to score moderate 292 for all in 86.3 overs against visiting Bangladesh A team on the first day of a four-day match in Barbados that began on Monday, reports UNB.
After winning the toss at Windward Park, Lucas Street, Bangladesh put West Indies high performance team to bat first.
After the fall of opener Kraigg Brathwaite for duck in the 4th ball of the first over, Jermaine Blackwood pairing with another opener Assad Fudadin (22) contributed 112 runs in 22 overs. The second wicket of Fudadin fell leaving the team score 112 in 22.4 overs.
Blackwood then built another 85-run partnership with two down Leon Johnson in 28.5 overs, before Blackwood gave away his wicket leaving team score 197/3 in 51.3 overs.
Blackwood scored 140 runs off 160 balls with 23 fours and a six while Johnson made 56 runs off 122 balls with seven fours and a six.
Chadwick Walton and Carlos Brathwaite scored 15 runs each while Devendra Bishoo (not out 14) and Jonathan Carter (12) were the other double digit scorers for Sagicor high performance centre.
Taijul Islam and Robiul Islam claimed three wickets each for 83 and 86 runs respectively while Naeem Islam, skipper Nasir Hossain and Shubashish Roy took one wicket apiece for 20, 25 and 45 runs respectively.
In reply, Bangladesh-A opened the first innings and scored 5 for no loss in one over at stumps on the first day. Openers Imrul Kayes and Shamsur Rahman remained unbeaten on 4 and 0 runs respectively.
